Have you ever wondered how facilitators create and maintain spaces where open, honest conversations can flourish? Why is this vital for fostering cultures of peace? And how can we bring these skills into our own lives?
We invite you to a special session with Talisa Clavijo and Wendy Lambourne, where we’ll explore the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of creating safe spaces for genuine dialogue and connection.
What to Expect:
- Insights from Talisa Clavijo: Discover findings from her dissertation on how AVP and CoP facilitators create environments that nurture genuine dialogue.
- Presentation by Dr. Wendy Lambourne: Discover the transformative impact of AVP and other psychosocial programs on healing, reconciliation, and peacebuilding from an experienced expert. Wendy, a former Senior Lecturer in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Sydney, is also an AVP community facilitator.
- Interactive Activities: Engage in hands-on exercises designed to help you develop the skills to foster safe spaces and explore alternatives to violence.
